The 3rd International Conference on Smokeless Tobacco, hosted by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Centre for Tobacco Prevention (in Sweden), was held in Stockholm, Sweden from September 22-25, 2002.
The conference hosts believe that while the predominant form of tobacco use around the world is cigarettes, all forms are addictive, threaten health and should be a component of comprehensive tobacco prevention and control programs.
The mission of the 3rd International Conference on Smokeless Tobacco Conference is to update the available information on the science of smokeless tobacco prevention and control with regard to what is known and not known.
