The NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study prospectively investigated the relations of self-reported moderate and vigorous physical activity and body mass index (BMI) to ovarian cancer. Researchers suspect that obesity is associated with enhanced ovarian cancer risk through a hormonal mechanism.
